In Jaén they found the perfect habitat for olive cultivation between latitudes 30º and 45º, together with a dry Mediterranean climate with hot summers, the perfect combination for the healthy growth of the olive tree and greater use of the harvest.

The traditions and work of the field dedicated to the cultivation of oil have been transmitted generation after generation, thus placing Jaén as the largest olive oil producer region in the world.

Currently, Jaén has more than 60 million olive trees, 550 thousand hectares, which represents more than 25% of the total Spanish area. In fact, Jaén produces more than 20% of all olive oil worldwide and 50% nationally.

Jaén oil is mainly of the picual variety, which has particular sensory characteristics, great durability, a strong personality and high resistance to temperature.
