Reinventing a traditional dessert

Today we bring you a dessert based on a childhood snack. A recipe that will make you travel to your childhood, simple but very tasty. A combination of ingredients that melt on your palate leaving you wanting for more: bread with chocolate, oil and salt.

To make this recipe we will need:

  • Diego Angulo virgin extra olive oil
  • Pieces of baguette bread (can be from the day before)
  • 60 g of 60% dark chocolate
  • 60 g of cold whipping cream

First, we will melt the chocolate in the microwave in periods of 30 seconds, until it is completely melted.

To get a ganache quickly and without having to wait, we will whip the cold cream together with the chocolate, adding it little by little and shaking it vigorously.

When we have achieved the ideal texture, we reserve the ganache in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes, while we toast the pieces of bread.

Once toasted, pour the olive oil on top and generously spread the ganache.

Flake salt is the final touch with which we will crown our bites.

And… ready!

With olive oil and a pinch of flake salt, the chocolate bread is exquisite. An ideal option for a leisurely breakfast on the weekend or for a snack when you feel like a sweet treat. Want to try it?
